About the Speaker Series

The City Council and Planning Commission jointly sponsored the "Shoreline Speaker Series" - five evening public forums that provided residents with insight into long-range planning issues. All five forums are available to watch via streaming video on the right hand side of this page.

Each forum addressed a variety of topics including principles of environmental sustainability, changing demographics, housing alternatives, how to create walkable communities, innovative retail and "third places".

Examples from other communities with observations on how they could be implemented in Shoreline and questions from the audience were part of all forums.

For more information, contact Shoreline Planner Steve Cohn at (206) 546-1418.
