Call for Artists: Outdoor Environmental Sculpture Installations
From the Ground Up
The City of Shoreline is pleased to announce the debut of From the Ground Up, a temporary Outdoor Sculpture Installation Project focusing on short-term environmental, and possibly interactive, artwork to enliven public spaces. Artwork must use natural and/or re-cycled materials. Locations for these projects may be proposed by the artist, an artist and business team, and/or selected by the City. They may include locations along the Interurban Trail, in City parks or other publicly visible spaces. These spaces may have trees, but rarely other stationary armatures. Work may be displayed for a one to six months, depending on the nature and location of the work. Installation and removal of the artwork will be the sole responsibility of the artist. Each space will be limited to a maximum of 15 feet by 15 feet with some possible variation in size and form as suggested by the specific site. Artwork with opportunities for audience interaction either during or after installation will be given priority.

Call for Loaned Outdoor Sculpture
City of Shoreline Outdoor Sculpture Stroll
The City of Shoreline is pleased to announce the 2nd annual Sculpture Stroll, a loaned outdoor sculpture program. Artists from the Puget Sound area are invited to submit images of existing work. Up to ten sculptures will be selected for the exhibit to be displayed from July 2013 until July 2014. Work will be sited in a landscaped plaza area on the north side of Shoreline City Hall and across the street in the Park at Town Center, creating a natural sculpture walk along a section of historic red brick road adjacent to the Interurban Trail. One or two pieces may also be selected for one-year installation at the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden (KBG) in Shoreline.

Call for Mural Artists (RFQ)
Echo Lake Neighborhood Mural
The Echo Lake Neighborhood Association in collaboration with the City of Shoreline is seeking an artist from the greater Shoreline/Puget Sound area to create a mural, with community input on design, to replace the existing artwork on a large wall at NE 205th St and 1st Avenue NE adjacent to Holyrood Cemetery. Large-scale mural experience required. Budget: up to $8,000 artist fee.

Application deadline: April 4, 2013 by 5:00 p.m. Painting in July or August pending weather.

Call for large 2-dimensional artwork for 2-year loan at Shoreline City Hall
The City of Shoreline is looking for 2-year loans of large, existing 2-dimensional artwork for three walls on the fourth floor of City Hall. The work will be displayed from late March 2013 to March 2015. This is in addition to the regular Gallery at City Hall program.
