The Planning Commission meets on the first and third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Shoreline City Hall.
Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Board
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Board, or Park Board, advises the City Council and City staff on a variety of parks and recreation issues including plans and policies, park operation and design, program activities, property acquisition and development of rules and regulations.
The Park Board meets on the fourth Thursday of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. January through October and the first Thursday of December in the Council Chambers at Shoreline City Hall. The Board may call additional meetings if necessary.
Tree Board
The City Council established the Tree Board in 2012 as part of the Council's decision to become a Tree City USA. PRCS Board members also serve as the Tree Board. The Tree Board oversees the public trees in the right-of-way and all trees in parks and City owned property. Tree planting, pruning and removal in the right-of-way, parks, and city owned property are under the purview of the Tree Board. The Board will also conduct an annual Arbor day celebration and work to educate the community on the value and proper care of trees in our community.
Library Board
The Shoreline Library Board acts as a liaison to the King County Library System Board of Trustees, the City Council and the citizens of Shoreline. It provides information, makes recommendations relating to the Shoreline and Richmond Beach Libraries, promotes programs and reviews library policies.
The Library Board meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursdays of January, March, May, July, September and November. The meetings are held alternately at the Shoreline Library and the Richmond Beach Library.
